Editing Day 6

Final day of editing!!

Soundtrack editing and making sure everything is correct

Daniel set about straight away, with the headphones on, putting scene 3's soundtracks (that was Indus and Sonic Germination) into the timeline and editing them. He had a clear vision of how he wanted the sound to go. Cameron and myself sat around him and gave ideas and helped out and Daniel often gave us the head phones to allow us to hear the soundtrack and give comments back to say whether it sounded better or worse. I placed Scene 3's music into the exact place I felt they should appear which then allowed Daniel to work around it and adjust volumes and timing to make sure it all flowed beautifully. Cameron also did some of the sound editing, helping to shift the video footage to match the sound or detaching the sound from the videos to allow Daniel to edit it easily.

Once this was done, we shared our film onto YouTube, this took almost an hour and a half to finish, and then quickly posted it on our blogs to present our rough cut to the class straight afterwards.

While this was being done, Charlotte was continuing on with the script and making sure that that was done ready to be put on the blog.  She also double checked to make sure that the ident she had created on 'Modify' (a programme she had used in her AS film to do the same thing) was just the way we wanted it. She did have another look for fire sounds to put over the ident, however with little success at finding any good ones.

Next up will be getting feedback from our peers and then working on the improvements to make our film better and hopefully gain higher marks. :)
